I was lucky enough to be invited along to the first ever Cricut Make Off in London...

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Cricut Make Off (think Great British Bake Off without the stress of cooking!) to compete with a gang of other crafty types (influencers and bloggers) in a Craft Off Event hosted by Cricut UK.
The event was hosted in an actual tent with actual bake off stations complete with ovens and hobs. Lucky for me we replaced the cooking utensils with crafting supplies.
We were split into 'teams' to compete against one other person in each of the three challenges we were set. My 'opponent' Joey Bevan was an absolute superstar, even though he completely hussled me with his stories of never using a Cricut Machine and his broken iPad! He went on to WIN! the first challenge with his amazing T-shirt using Cricut's new Infusible Ink.
The second 'Technical Challenge' round was to make a set of coasters using the Infusible Ink. Having not tried the Infusible Ink on Coasters before I was slightly nervous but the results were great. I can't wait to make my next set at home (without the time pressure!).
Our third and final challenge was 'The Showstopper' - I had BIG plans for this round which I thought would be a breeze given the time available. Meeting all those last minute commission deadlines would set me in good stead for this round I thought.....Wrong! The time FLEW by and I didn't even get to finish my design. The judges were kind to me though.
This round was won by Anthea from @bluebearwood with her stunning bag design (below).
It was an absolute pleasure to meet so many wonderful crafters and get to meet some that I have followed on Instagram for a long time.
I have to give a special shoutout to our Mentor and all round Cricut Guru Emma from @emmajewellcrafts ....the girl has a LOT of patience.
“I was so excited to be surrounded on the day by so many wonderful crafters and creative bloggers”
Finally we had the absolute Honor of meeting Ashish Arora, the CEO of Cricut, who was in the UK as part of a week-long trip. He was lovely, and his passion for Cricut really is infectious.
I travelled home from the event absolutely full of creative ideas on how to use the Cricut Maker and the new Infusible ink. To see what crafty makes I've creating with my Cricut Maker click here.
It was so lovely to meet everyone on the day. I can't wait for the next event.
